Breaking: Statement by the RFL
"RL Commercial can confirm initial conversations have been held with the ARLC about the possibility of an historic Ashes Series being played in England in 2025.
"We are excited by the possibility of bringing the Kangaroos to these shores for a three-match series for the first time in over 20 years, and we are starting work on the feasibility of such a tour.
"We believe this would be welcomed by our England team, by British Rugby League supporters, by the British sporting public, and by the current generation of Australia players who would relish the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of so many great players of the past."
@johnnyddavidson Wherever it is, announce the dates and venues yesterday and get the tickets on sale NOT a month before as usual! Might have a chance of selling with a year of ticket sales and dare I say it "marketing"

@oasis@TicketmasterUK@Twickets Joke. Waited 8am to 11.30am to arrive at the front of the queue to be binned and called a bot. Not a fair process lads. Ticketmaster done us over. Hope they have taken their "in demand" bullion and "deserved" fees in good conscience....
@rugbyleagueontv Two less live games a week. We still get them 48 hours after the live broadcast with superleague+ don't we? Or that's what was reported...
@danmurphy90@M_Shaw1 I understand it as up to R15 all games on Sky TV. From R16 onwards, 2 games on Sky TV and other 4 on Sky Streaming Service (free for sky customers) OR all 6 on Superleague+
@SteveMascord@rugbyleagueontv IMO this move to SL+ or Sky Stream allows Sky/SL to get correct figures of those watching. Might also cause eyes moving from IPTV to one of above too as it may not be as readily available on IPTV. IMG gambling that this number is impressive for next TV deal negotiations...

@GaryOrmiston1@COYFCast@AaronBower If so, an extra 4 games a week production costs is £200k per week. Multiplied by 22 rounds, it's worth £4.4M a season.... Not a bad deal if you factor that in....
