Finally calm after the game. We played so well given the injuries. Grav our best player. Ref was horrible. City players and fans made themselves even more unlikeable. Sham club and cheats. League is becoming a joke now, punishments need to be dished out asap.
There’s something sinister about watching a team caught cheating play week in, week out in a competition where they’ve been found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges. It makes a mockery of the competition and, frankly, makes the whole thing look like a joke.
That is not even what happens in the movie. The adjustments were approved by the fia and the car was never illegal. The anonymous tip was a ploy to stop them from winning and it was proved to be fake and overturned in the final race. So no idea what movie this guys been watching.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think.
In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards.
Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted.
City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it.
From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system.
From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.”
If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor.
We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?”
And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Bilateral trade between the UAE and UK exceeds £25bn per year and the UAE-UK Sovereign Investment Partnership, which launched in 2021 with a £10bn five-year target, has committed nearly £30bn across 50+ direct investments, according to the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It claims this has supported 48,000 UK jobs, “with a further 280,000 expected by 2030″.

Clear proof that city is state owned and more reason as to why City can't continue with the same owners. No football club owner should be able to blackmail a country..

UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter
They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information
The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain

🚨 JUST IN 🚨
The ICC has clarified what counts as an overthrow: an attempt to direct the ball at the stumps to stop runs or effect a run-out.
A misfield, whether trying to stop the ball or pass it to a teammate, is not an overthrow.
🚨 JUST IN 🚨
For a run-out or stumping, the fielder must have complete control of the ball. Merely touching it with the hand as it breaks the stumps is not enough.
If Man City don't get stripped of their titles and are given massive point deductions which effectively relegate them, it will be a betrayal of all the clubs who obeyed the rules all these years. Clubs should refuse to play in a league where such a club is still playing.
Opinion.
If City's appeal fails then every trophy should be expunged from the records, removal from Premier League and EFL, a crippling fine and denial of fit and proper ownership.
Biggest football story arguably in English football history.
Six years ago today, Diogo Jota became a Red.
Today, as every day, all of us at Liverpool FC are thinking of him, his brother Andre and his family and friends.
Forever our number 20 ❤️
Nottingham Forest should not have been awarded a penalty at Liverpool for Alisson's challenge on Neco Williams, the KMI Panel has said.
But the KMI Panel also added that it did not reach the threshold for the VAR to overturn the on-field decision.

Iraola asked about the failure to add a natural right-sided winger to the squad: "I think we preferred at the end to have the best players than a player that is specifically for that position."
🚨❗️ Liverpool informed Cody Gakpo’s camp they would be ready to keep him at the club if there’s no replacement.
All depends on Ismaila Sarr situation.
Gakpo had agreed terms with City on Saturday but would also be happy to stay at Liverpool if club decide to close doors.
