@virginmedia Ofcom has set out conditions that providers must comply with.
It said providers must ensure “customers who are leaving do not face additional barriers or hassle compared with those who are signing up for new services.”
@virginmedia There’s a very simple way to stop all the bad press you’re getting, just put a “cancel my service” option on “my Virgin media”. After this recent debacle, I wouldn’t take your service again if you were the last option on earth
@virginmedia@Ofcom have stated that you must make it as easy to leave your service as it is to join. This is clearly not the case, hence my complaint, I have also asked @itvMLshow to investigate
@virginmedia Can you not see the hassle I’ve had trying to cancel my service? I’ve been a VM customer from day 1 after you took over Telewest. If that’s how you treat loyal customers god help the new customers
@virginmedia The website comes up on the first page of a Google search. You can email them or call them it’s got nothing to do with me, it’s just another very disgruntled customer who’s had the same experience as me and many others when trying to cancel the service
@virginmedia Nothing to do with me, you clearly haven’t read it properly. Just goes to show what lengths people will go to get your attention. I’ve lodged a complaint with Ofcom, I just hope loads more people do the same so they will investigate you again
@MartinSLewis@itvMLshow Please, please, please will you investigate @virginmedia. It’s impossible to cancel your broadband package, they put you on hold, fob you off, ask you loads of irrelevant questions and then do nothing. Apart from driving to their offices, I’m out of ideas

I did get through on the phone after 35 minutes on hold & told the lad I wanted to leave, he put me through to the retention team who answered on about 1 hour on hold. The girl I spoke to took the same security info then put me on hold, I gave up on 40m
