Heeseung is constantly being sponsored by chinese brands, apps, etc, right? its becoming even more obvious lately, especially since he had a bilibili account even before he had a yt or spotify account. As you know, Enhypen also gets sponsorships from chinese brands, and so do other Hybe groups. In the chinese market, brand faces are generally sought after in the model type. that's the standard, and they even like somewhat absurd things.

you might remember jake's ramyeon (ig) add, there was a similar sexualization, it seemed absurd. now, the upcoming illit, le sserafim and katseye collab is the same way, always appealing to visuals and absurdity, to attract the attention of chinese fans rather than global ones.

what if Hybe shareholders are waiting for a new deal from a Chinese institution or individual? Is that why they started shifting their groups away from kpop without caring at all cuz the futures gonna be in a complete different strategy anyways? Also, the market most likely to overlook these company violations is china, because the main sasaengs are always there, there are many chinese artists who have been stalked and harassed. they also recently removed the hybe slogan "we believe in music," which i think might be related to that.

the only part i don't understand about Hybe's strategy is that Chinese brands and their fans only look for attention in outward appearance, extra good, perfectly flawless visuals. But none of that lasts long because media attention can be diverted elsewhere at any moment. Since Hybe is already a large organization, it seems like they are marketing their most popular groups entirely with this strategy,the looks are js too same.
