A part of the Indian media and proportion of the public in general expect doctors to take harsh beatings and aggression, and swallow verbal abuses, since being a doctor in India means they are always taken for granted because they are going to be noble with everything including facing violence.
Because the decades long narrative in India is that doctors are looters, they are slaves to pharma and that they are always at your service. People call doctors business members, but expect a quick and free whatsapp consultation.
People are confused. But here is clarity.
The oath, "Do No Harm" is only for the treatments delivered, not to stay silent or play dead when rascals including violent patients attack intentionally and irrationally.
The uncles in regulatory and authority positions are incompetent to see both sides because they are boomers who have zero rational thoughts.
I am happy for the doctor who lost his job "illogically" after serving people for 8 long years. Gives him the freedom to choose something better. Go somewhere better. Do something better. Because do not expect anything from this pseudoscience loving hell hole of a country as a doctor, because you can never find gratitude here.
Times have changed.
Doctors are humans too.
Tread lightly.
There is a fashion now a days of putting up hospital bills on social media saying I underwent this procedure I was charged this much, I had this illness I was charged this much, the hospital didn't have AC, the bathroom didn't have a mirror, the door was not closing properly, my CT scan costed x my friends costed y at some other place and what not.
And it's becoming a trend and everyone enjoys it and joins adding there stories yeah right, I also had this much bill, my light was also not working. But compared to this how many times have we seen the countless people who go happy from the hospital free of their illness share their stories, there wouldn't be a single person of these ranting bunch whose close ones wouldn't have got well after seeing a doctor. My friends those are hospitals not your sunday evening meal restaurant or weekend getaways that you give a review after it. How many times you have put your hotel bills saying I only ate 1 naan and paneer today and this was the bill thousand, because that's your doglapan and nothing else.
If you get time some day visit the overloaded sarkaari aspatals where you will relaize what actually patients are ready to bear just to get their illness treated, they understand the system is overburdened and adjust to get treatment and majority of them after are still grateful when they leave the hospital, it's just that to let you know how many lives these hospitals are making change to and the fees doctors take from you for even a minor procedure is of years of hardwork they have put to acquire that skill.
Being a pediatrician, when a parent brings their child to you and if you take the second attempt to prick their child for cannula, some of them get so agitated, on why you are not able to place a cannula in a single prick irrespective of the child's condition or considering that how difficult a skill it is. But when someone puts a cannula smoothly without even letting your child know you don't praise it rather you question the money he might have taken for that. That's double standards this society needs to come out of. #MedTwitter

#Black day for doctors
Welcome to the New India where a doctor is arrested today not for crime, but for prescribing a cough syrup to heal sick children . His only fault was being unaware that he was supposed to check the quality and approval of syrup which is the work of govt and drug authorities who mint money from cheap drug suppliers The syrup turned out to be poisonous a tragedy born from the company’s negligence not the doctor’s intent yet he is behind bars The government has made him the scapegoat while the real culprits still walk free. When the hands that heal are handcuffed and the ones that profit from death are protected justice itself is on life support.

🚨 Shocking! 🚨 Arrest warrants issued against Shudra storytellers — humiliated, shaved, and abused for telling a story while being non-Brahmin.Court says they "hide their caste."
Instead of upholding justice, the system is busy reinforcing the old varna hierarchy.

🩺 Haryana Health Dept Negligence
137 doctors selected 2 months ago still await appointment letters.
Health Dept says “file sent to govt” — but no postings yet.
Meanwhile, 24% posts lie vacant in hospitals.

Just want to end with this, because tomorrow is a brand new day and there are bigger matters to move on to and greater things to do.
In India,
Speaking facts = Rude
Speaking truth = Arrogant
Being rational = Unprofessional
Being logical = Defaming
Breaking myths = Anti national
Disrupting dogmas = Bad character
The same people who are shouting that I bullied a chess player's family by calling out their professions as non clinical/ quackery (a fact) are the same ones bullying my family by calling me an organ trafficker's son and dragging my parents into it, based on a baseless report written years ago by a right wing magazine. I was still a medical student then and never worked in the hospital. This allegation and accusation was never proven and was stayed by The High Court of Kerala. This part is conveniently ignored by my bullies: https://t.co/3fqMabpBM0
The person (a jobless retired doctor) who made that allegation was served a show cause notice for promoting propaganda against organ donation in Kerala by the DME. He has since stopped maligning and defaming the transplant medical community. This part is also conveniently ignored by my bullies:
https://t.co/Nc7DvRI3nE
I understand this is all part of the game that I did not bargain for, but I expect. Stakeholders who will get affected by my truth telling will come in various shapes and sizes to denigrate me and beat me down. Every attempt at breaking myths and disrupting dogmatic views comes at great cost and I am ok in dealing with it. Because no other doctor would. I give back as good as I get. Call me an organ trafficker's son, abuse my family, harass me all you want. Your allegations are farts in the wind tunnel and my words will stand.
And I will continue my science communications, correcting health misinformation and educating people on developing critical thinking skills...and fight pseudoscience and unscientific practices plaguing this country, to help us all make progress, because unlike you, I love my country.
In India, doctor bashing is a political sport because doctors are considered "rich looters" since the public feel that increasing general consultation fees by 100 rupees is catastrophic...
...when this so-called health minister arrived in a ₹10000000 Range Rover along with the media to fire the CMO of a public hospital...
...all because the senior doctor who I was told is a gentleman and highly efficient, asked a patient to get a vitamin B12 injection from the outpatient day care service and not emergency services because a vitamin B12 injection was never an emergency.
If there is a species that can be considered scum of the universe, it's politicians of India who dehumanise doctors in front of the public for optics. And the joke is on us because we elect these buffoons to serve us.
LEFT: Children repeating mantras with closed eyes, contributing nothing & doing their best to drag India backward.
RIGHT: Ambedkarites with open eyes, fighting to annihilate the caste system and establish liberty, fraternity, and equality.

In UPSC, do SC candidates get lower interview marks if they get higher written marks?
I took the recent marks list of 2025 and did an analysis to check this out.
Scatter plots of Written vs. Interview marks for SC and UR candidates, with trend lines.
The SC plot shows a downward slope (negative correlation): many top written SC performers cluster at lower interview scores.
The UR plot shows a mild upward trend, indicating a positive correlation between written and interview marks in the UR group. This divergence is evident in the exam results.
Such inverse pairing of low written–high interview and high written–low interview is prevalent in the SC data, contributing to the negative correlation. By contrast, in the UR group, strong written performance is often met with decent or even high interview marks (e.g. an UR candidate scoring 825 written was awarded 210 in interview
