Perhaps an unpopular opinion but, you aren’t responsible for every good things that’s happened to you.

The same way you aren’t responsible for every hardship, chaos, or catastrophe.

There are forces beyond anyone’s individual control. I personally view it as luck.

After my daughter passed I stopped feeling lucky.

It took me two years to gain any sense of acceptance of the uncontrollable.

That’s what life is. The only constant is that everything changes all the time.

I’m in this place in life through many choices. I tried my best to stack the odds in my favor through hard work and calculated decisions, but for me to say with any conviction that luck wasn’t involved is foolish.

Too many rewrite their own history as if their success was destined or entirely in their control.

I love working hard, I try really hard to be a good person, to do the right thing. But there are a lot of people that work harder than me that don’t get to do what they love for a living. Or spend every morning with their family. A lot of this is random.

I’ll just keep trying to tilt luck in my favor and do what I can to live a complete life with the cards I’m dealt.
