Sonam Wangchuk has every democratic right to protest. Instead of curtailing peaceful protests, the government should focus on solving issues, improving education and ensuring accountability. That's closer to Ram Rajya. #SonamWangchuk#Democracy#Education#Accountability
One more death of an Indian crew member, and this time so close to our shores.
What is the use of such a massive defence budget? What is the use of political rallies of NRIs across the world and all the unnecessary chest-thumping if we are unable to protect our own citizens?
When Indians keep losing their lives, speeches and optics mean nothing.
It is a shame. And only the people in power are responsible for this — no one else.

@CAronitpereira The easiest era in Indian investing is probably behind us. In the 1990s and 2000s, being bullish was often enough. Today everyone has information, capital and models. Alpha is no longer free. And offcourse there are taxes!
Micron's latest $9bn investment in Japan is a reminder that semiconductor capital follows ecosystems, not incentives alone.
If India is serious about becoming a manufacturing powerhouse, industry, academia, regulators and policymakers need to move in sync. That coordination rarely happens organically. Leadership has to come from the government to align stakeholders around a common objective.
Japan spent decades building its semiconductor ecosystem. Capital is now following that foundation.

If AI infrastructure spending normalizes, the likely pain sequence could be:
AI cloud & GPU rental providers → optical/interconnect suppliers → memory → semiconductor equipment → accelerators/GPUs → analog & power semiconductors.
The common factor is dependence on new AI cluster deployments. The further a business sits from recurring end-demand and the more it relies on continued capex acceleration, the greater the downside risk if hyperscalers become more disciplined on spending.

Meta is developing plans for a cloud infrastructure business that will sell access to AI computing power and models, setting up a new vector of competition with industry leaders like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud https://t.co/n5jvAHHxFX
@riteshmjn Rather than creating conditions that attract manufacturing investment into India, we seem to be getting increasingly absurd ideas every few days.
@Iamsamirarora Nothing wrong with cash calls if permitted under the PPM. Cash is a position too. The question is whether the timing decision adds value over a full cycle.
