Fairfax County resident and writer Stephanie Lundquist-Arora has put into words what so many of us have been feeling.

Her piece lays out the facts of what happened in Reston—how an alleged MS-13 member was released from jail despite an ICE detainer, and how less than 24 hours later, a man was dead.

She asks the question we're all asking:
"How many crimes an illegal alien has to commit, or how many people he is allowed to kill, before Democrat local leaders decide that even if they want him in our country, he at least shouldn't be roaming freely through our neighborhoods?"

This isn't partisan spin. It's a fair look at the chain of decisions—from the Board of Supervisors' "Trust Policy" to Sheriff Kincaid's refusal to work with ICE to Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano dropping charge after charge—that led to this tragedy.

Republican Supervisor Pat Herrity, the lone opposing vote on sanctuary policies, is quoted in the piece calling it "a failure of the justice system."
