@DaveSurdovel A3 In years past I put students in groups ahead of time. Sometimes by ability, sometimes to separate personalities…lots of ways depending on what I was doing. Now I have my desks in groups of three. Students pull a card as they come in to class and go to that desk group.
@DaveSurdovel A2 The information on mimicking and now-you-try-one made so much sense to me. I felt like he was describing my teaching style. Needing to change that definitely felt right. #ThinkingClassroom#TISDMathChat#TomballMath
How many ways can you get the sum of 20 only using 4 digits & the numbers 1-8? Ask one of our fourth graders and I’ll bet you will be surprised! This lesson was fun, engaging, required critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration! #PrideofthePrairie
Celebrating our incredible staff and district support who kept us “A FLOAT” this week with their positive attitudes and willingness to jump in and help! #PrideofthePrairie#SpiritofTomball#TeamTomball
