Will you give the guests of the Night Shelter their best chance at exiting the streets and entering into supportive housing by donating generously this Tuesday, April 6 on City Care's first-ever Day of Giving? https://t.co/HSISFGX45l
The opening of this shelter, though worthy of celebration, doesn’t signify that our work as a community is finished. In fact, it means that our work is just beginning. We now have the opportunity to connect with each guest & help them develop plans for securing permanent housing.
Construction on the Night Shelter is complete and beginning this Tuesday, April 6, we will welcome home our city's most vulnerable and medically fragile residents off the streets and into a safe landing place.
really enjoy hearing my old boss @stacisanger talk about @CityCareOKC's Samaritan app and Mobile Outreach + Engagement unit.

The nerve of people who ask “how are you going to pay for it?” whenever we propose building advanced public education, healthcare, & climate infrastructure yet defend a system where Trump pays $750 in taxes and Amazon pays none is beyond me.
This pilot is estimated to help 50 individuals in OKC to address housing, employment, and health challenges. But for this to work, we'll need your help. For info about this innovative approach to housing the chronically homeless, visit https://t.co/xKf2oetxS6. @youaresamaritan
We are so excited to share that we received the @unitedwayokc WayFinder Grant and with it, we will be launching the Samaritan App this summer, a new intervention to enable unhoused individuals to access the financial and social capital needed to reach housing and health goals.
There’s a tracking shot in THE VAST OF NIGHT that literally left my jaw on the floor. Andrew Patterson’s directorial debut is mesmerizing, the kind you need to see for yourself to believe. Coming soon to theaters and @PrimeVideo.
We volunteered at the Point In Time Count early this morning and shared some of the interactions that impacted us the most over on IG stories. Prepare your hearts in advance - these stories are gut-wrenching, but the storytellers are remarkable. #HomelessCounts#EveryOneCounts
