@jim_demps There is a lot of toxicity in Irish rugby online chatter, I’d say a large % is from those who don’t attend matches and interact with opposition supporters in real life but it’s by no means limited to one clubs fans. A lot of Leinster criticism has come from their own support
@RugbyD4@andrewjtracey Genuinely with respect, so what? Maybe they are just rugby fans. The European cup has a great tradition of wearing your team’s jersey, most people don’t have an issue with it.
Well done to Leinster, v dominant victory.
@Caolan_Scully@SallyMaher12 Disappointed for Crowley, he has only just won the shirt back. Think we need to learn more at scrum half too, but not too optimistic.
@gorey_john@jim_demps No, that’s not what we think. We want to improve, and rugby to continue to grow across the country. That requires investment everywhere.
@offtheball The IRFU”s remit is to grow the game across all of Ireland, not just in one part of the country. They are failing in their remit if they don’t enable the game everywhere.
@Rugby_Scoop How did you form the idea that most Irish rugby fans support/enjoy this kind of media interaction? A few terminally online people? Don’t extrapolate to the wider rugby support based on Twitter or media hot takes please.
@ccbigcol8@RuaidhriOC It’s an example of a similar situation in the past, not specifically about Munster.
Should IRFU use their funds to bridge the pay gap for all players coming off central contracts?
Or just use their funds for this specific case?
