Working on a new start-up idea...
Mosquitos that inject super-peptide mix to hyper-juice the population with disease fighting, muscle building, IQ boosting, fat burning, cancer curing, Age reversal compound,... PapapaPPPPOOOOOWWWWERRRR!!!!
I’ll call that a half truth. On one side of the coin it removes potential friction points which results in feeling like added elbow room (liberty). On the other side of the coin it adds significant friction points in processes, which erodes liberty.
There’s a timeline/cyclical dynamic in it as well. Early stages are great for freedom. Late stages are suffocating, and more akin to oppression.
@zackvoell@twicrates They have disdain for the entire crypto space. Swept under the rug. They gotta know there are authentic/real people who’ve been here for fking ever. We practically kept this app alive during certain years.
The stock market is in what I believe is a historic, final parabolic leg of a 44 yr secular bull market.I am raising some of my targets as follows: SPX 10,000, Nasdaq Comp 36,000, DJIA 67,000, RUT 4000, QQQ 950, SMH 800, gold $7000 & silver $200. My other targets remain unchanged.
the elites don't want you to know this but we've already achieved AGI
- the labs know
- the government knows
the reason you're still getting "impressive but not quite there" announcements is because nobody has figured out what happens to markets, jobs, and governments the day the world actually believes it
so we're in a managed disclosure buying time
Anthropic please!
I was recently thinking about similarities of 2018/19 to now...
Survivors in 2018/19 only had one place for participation... Bitmex...perps.
Current cycle... BTC had its wave, a Solana+Meme wave, and then a PolyMarket wave (PM was a proper nail-in-coffin to alts as it's more of a gated Tradfi product than a crypto protocol...ie...no-onchain-down-stream-flow).
Now here we are in the doldrums of dry liquidity and a wilting space. Hyperliquid/perps is the only haven for activity. Idk... despite the enormous differences to that earlier era I'm still reminded of 2018/19 in a sense.
Now we patiently wait for Ai and Crypto to merge...
In respect to China's advantages in dampening the bad/empowering the good outcomes...
I think there's a long-term horizon aspect of actual problem solving that occurs with the breaking/exploiting of systems. A more limited system = limited outcomes/potential. This is a tradeoff.
There will be costs to China's limited system that won't show up on the balance sheet in the early stages... they'll show up later in the form of limitations.
Western systems will struggle more up front because they're more open/variable...more vulnerable for the same reason. The growing pains will be appear to slow progress, but the friction will result in a stronger, and higher potential system in the end.
AI is Gen Z’s Vietnam: they want nothing to do with it and they are vocally opposing it — small to no chance they stop it, but a trend worth monitoring.
This feels like a baity post tbh. Are you attempting to debate that it just doesn't even matter to create layers of separation?... or that people should be more aware of the importance that we have more strict layers of separation?
Private vs State. Big difference. Imagine the state hard-programming the protocol from scratch themselves. Not great.
Compliance is high as is, but I think the difference is still significant. You can use your own wallet with stables for example. CBDC's won't likely operate in that manner... and that's just the surface looking inward. Your imagination should be able to paint how much worse that could look vs what stables are currently under private management, open protocols that can't be controlled (ETH, SOL, etc...). Potentially freezable, yes... but at length and via due process. There is still full freedom of movement and choice. Choice likely diminishes by a significant margin under CBDC.
A CBDC won't be on some open protocol... it'll be their proprietary chain, and fully gated. Probably something more akin to Tempo for example.
