One of the misconceptions that is parroted on CT is that "trading" memecoins is trading.
It isn't.
Nowadays, unlike the past, the very successful people doing this are either social engineers (monetizing their social audience via callouts, selling into tweets, insider knowledge, selling with side wallets, creating coins to dump and pretending it isn't them etc.), or sophisticated devs who are able to build tools to systematically extract from gamblers via bots (this is edge).
There are some moments where trading comes into it, when something becomes liquid or distributed enough, but doing very well in the trenches isn't the same skillset as actual trading, and I think calling it trading is personally misleading and unhelpful.
If you can't trade large real liquid assets then you should not drop out to do this, as your luck will eventually run out, or you will end up turning to onchain crime, which is bad for your soul and no way to live.
I also think the people that are able to run it up big in memecoins are unable to keep that money, because those two things are at odds with each other. The person that can run it up and not TP due to delusional optimism, is unable to sell usually. There are probably only one or two people I knew that made it big with memes that were able to step away and keep that money (@blockgraze is one). Everyone else thought they could repeat the process and ruined themselves eventually.
I think it is fine to bet on yourself and take some big swings in life, but this isn't the right path. I'm not trying to shit on anyone's dreams, but full time gambling isn't the one.
It's so funny to watch the TL bitch about price every day when things are actually doing very well
You're just serial over trading or so cooked by the TikTok attention algo you can't stay in a position more than 30 seconds
You will grind yourself to 0 over and over and over
For a change, some serious thoughts about solana:HcRLc9VDgjLeK154xDawfb1dmVJ98DoSqcwTHGqiDeJR
I'll start by acknowledging the chart looks very bad here. But we need to remember that this is a memecoin, and if you review the charts of the 2024 meme runners, most had periods like this. Bottomline here is, memecoins are going to have erratic and at times downright depressing PA. This is not new or unique to zcat.
But I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking on a day like today 'why should I hold this anyway?
Maybe you're thinking it's over because mask, another coin paired with ZEC, has taken the lead in ZEC paired coins. I think this is silly. Number one, mask isn't a meme, it's a privacy focused protocol, and as such, the pairing with ZEC makes perfect sense. Second, zcash is a top 10 crypto currency with a mc of 22b. Why can there only be one pair for the coin that many are assuming will be one of the best performers this cycle? And further, if you are a ZEC bull, then shouldn't you welcome more ZEC pairs for a whole variety of reasons?
Maybe you think it's over because the meme just isn't as good as you thought it was. Here I would offer, that memes are a lot like NFTs, i.e. they look better and better as floor goes up, and start to look worse and worse when it goes down. The same is true for memes.
We're not fully there yet, but the bag is well on it's way to becoming iconic imagery for ZEC. It's a memetic comment on anonymity, it's simple enough that anyone can understand it, and it's infinitely memeable since you can place the bag on basically any character.
It will also forever be the icon of ZEC on Solana, as it was the first meme paired with ZEC that broke out and managed to capture CT mindshare in the same way as other big memes from the previous cycle did.
Lastly, it's a cat, and it has been prophesized that this is the cycle where cats outperform dogs. Combine that with all of the above, and it's hopefully clearer why this remains as one of the best bets out of the hundreds of memes launched recently to go to billions.
Bag stays on
@tobes888@miragemunny Strongly disagree. I don't see a new zcash pairing being more viral or original than solana:HcRLc9VDgjLeK154xDawfb1dmVJ98DoSqcwTHGqiDeJR. Zcash will be one of the biggest narratives of this cycle, catcoins are gaining massive market share. It's the perfect storm.
what’s interesting about $neet is that it doesn’t rely on a specific propped up meta or a viral moment that will be forgotten in a month. it will see your coin be born and die, and continue to live on under any market condition you throw at it. a narrative KOLs are jealous over because it’s impossible to replicate. you can’t fake purity or real holders with belief, no matter how hard you larp. in a week it will be 17 months since launch, years to come. the neet world order will only get larger
I’m willing to bet seyong isn’t even the real creator behind FOMO just the face used to promote fomo. Likely fomo was created by the LA cabal and they used another Asian dev (similar to Zerebro) to be the face of the product. I honestly believe FOMO is one giant grift created so they can promote their bundles and onboard their friends to dump on everyone.

So I'm watching the chart of Cash Cat and it's the greatest chart you've ever seen. Like something out of a movie. It's just going up, up, up, the price is. And all my generals, they're saying, "sir, the price is going to go down, you need to take profits." Take profits, they say. Now, these are smart people, but they get a little frightened. They're not traders, like me. I'm the best trader, everybody agrees. And you see the chart go down a bit, you get these red candles all over the place. They call them candles. And all my generals say, "sir, you need to sell now, the coin is going to zero." But I'm a bit of a degen, is what they call it. I say "I'm not gonna sell." And suddenly you see the biggest green candle you've ever seen in your life, a big beautiful candle, and the price goes BING. It’s incredible. Suddenly, it’s flying, higher than ever before, the price is. You’ve gotta have the guts to hold on, folks, because that’s what makes the big moves. It's called being a Hodler, and I don't even think that's a real word, but that's ok.
