The annual Louisville Triple Crown 10 Mile race was sponsored by UL this year and ended on their football field (which is the norm). Glancing through the finish line pics, I wasn’t the only one who did this
@KySportsRadio I'm a high school teacher. I had it on! For the rest of the day, kids who weren't in my class during the game stopped by to talk about it too!
Happened in my high school class 2 months ago but it was Rosa Parks. Fortunately, someone figured it out immediately. Teenager Helen Keller hate is one of the funniest things about this job.
My daughter announced they are doing a unit on Anne Frank at school over dinner.
My son loudly announced Anne Frank is a lie. He said it with his entire chest.
The room erupts. There is plentiful evidence of Anne Frank. I’ve been to camps in Germany and Poland myself you can’t even go there with me. I ask him who the hell told him that?!?
He is *insistent*. We are all wrong. We have been fooled.
His sister finally said BRUH SHE WAS REAL.
My son: “pssshhh you can’t be BLIND AND DEAF and TALK THAT GOOD and FLY PLANES BRUH YOU ARE ALL SO DUMB
me:………………. Are you talking about Helen Keller?
my son:……………. Oh yeah my bad. HELEN KELLER IS NOT REAL.
@luinalaska 😂 I’m a high school teacher, and this happened a few months ago in my class but it was Rosa Parks. Fortunately, one girl figured out the disconnect in seconds!
Both coaches tried to send their team to the locker room and they all stayed and shook hands anyway in case you’re curious what it’s like to teach high school now.
@KySportsRadio Tomorrow is on my list but I never get around to it! Atmosphere was my 3rd favorite of the year (My Friends by Fredrik Backman and The Wedding People by Alison Espach were my faves)
@UrbanBourbonHM Eek, this is unfortunate. I love you guys but no one has to earn a slice of cake by running. Maybe re-post in a more body friendly way?
@JStreble82 Imagine what 9 am was like for the people who work with @_EthanMoore! At least I’ve only had to deal with it 3x since I started here in 2012…
@KySportsRadio I was there from 1993-2000 (college and law school) and then went back for a Master's in 2010-2011. If a booster would like to pay me to be a permanent student, I'm willing!
@KySportsRadio I need to read Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow! Have you read Beartown by Frederik Backman? It's so good, one of my favorites. It's set in a small hockey town in Sweden but more about people and their divisions than hockey.
@SeanHeineman13@ShannonTheDude I remember them from Russell Central! I think I got one of the inflatable ones at the book fair (or really, really wanted one, that I'm not sure) but I definitely remember the inflatable
