As the former top r/LSF moderator I got a lot of internal criticism for refusing to allow my team to have frequent "votes" on every tiny single decision, as well as for (occasionally) overruling people or acting unilaterally.
Stuff like this, though, is part of the reason why I ran the team the way I did.
Running a major viral platform like LSF ( that requires quick and decisive action) by committee slows things down to a crawl, diffuses responsibility, and allows disaffected mods to gum up the works.
For important decisions that require a quick response sometimes you just need a dictator to take action and accept responsibility for the resulting consequences.
I would have removed the post, for clearly breaking the clickbait title rules.
Mizkif is suing the r/LivestreamFail moderators. He alleges they are using the subreddit as a way to defame him ๐ฎ
"I have already contacted my lawyer, yes I'm suing them..."
@OrdinaryGamers The entire tech industry is using AI coding. Its almost everyone is the thing. You just aren't a serious, professional developer if you aren't using AI in your day to day coding.
@crashoverride@wtfvaxity I could not think of a better advertisement for Kick if your chief "concern" is that it's just way too profitable and lucrative to stream there for streamers.
From the perspective of streamers this is a clear and obvious pro not a con, to get paid tons of money.
Ok @PiscoLitty , since we now have court precedent that react content can be transformative have you considered that actually Ethan DID protect fair use reactors by losing this case and setting precedent protecting them?
Betcha didn't think about that one, wise guy! :P
Denims gets a win in the Ethan Klein copyright case for the Nuke claim. The court has held tentatively her reaction was fair use.
As I previewed weeks ago, if court relied on Stebbins, Denims would be in a good spot.
Completely absent from analysis? โIntentional stated malice.โ

@Alykkat But hey, them's the breaks if you want a free platform.
The actual answer as for why nobody wants the massive amount of free views by getting involved in clipping (on anywhere, not just reddit), is because nobody wants to take *any* risks, opportunity be damned.
@Alykkat Just say the word, and I bet the current mod team would still do it. They could even setup an AMA! Do official collaborations, give out game keys do events with the subreddit. If only someone was willing to try, and take a little heat for being on a controversialish platoform.
Honestly, Iโm shocked none of the gaming studios did any clipping campaigns with their games being shown in the showcases.
Weโre seeing it everywhere for music, movies, influencers, but not gamesโ how is gaming behind on marketing distribution (performance marketing too)?
Clipping the showcase would have been the perfect way to do a clipping campaign.
Twitch's ads are so great and compelling that Amazon had to bring in other companies to handle it.
...Because nothing says "everything is fine!" like outsourcing your main revenue source
@joe_tendo People are literally paid money to stream via the KCIP. That's a clear and obvious benefit even if someone isn't doing gambling content.
And most platforms have ads so I'm not sure why this is some deal breaker.
Streamers crying about how this is AI and they donโt want to support it are pandering so hard
80% of Google is now coded with AI. Almost everything you use on the internet is coded with AI. If you want to stop using anything AI and are against it, get off the internet or go on funnyjunk
The Snark Left has declared war on @stale2000. Yesterday, Mrow did a stream about him. A few days ago, temu Beckett, aka @DickersTV, explained to his audience what a bad and dangerous person Stale was. The Snarkers are absolutely terrified of Stale 2000! Respect.
I see all these Kanban boards, linear, trackers on X, but what I'm trying to do is skip that step entirely. If there is something that you want to file in a tracker, just go fix it immediately. Isn't that way better? No backlog, just fixes.
