@Sir_Dozzy@cybertruck@Tesla Plug an EV into ordinary wall outlet like you plug in a cell phone and it will charge slowly. Or buy a home charging station for $450, have an electrician wire it, and leave it plugged in overnight for convenience. Typical person's commute will recharge in a couple hours at home.

Just a summary of 2024-2025 that never made it into a video: new windshield, dashboard upgrades, suspension fixes, some vinyl decals

Angry Egg Rally Car episode 18! Changing the oil, oil filter, and installed a Fumoto ball valve oil drain. This is my first time ever DIY changing a car's oil myself! I've got some more videos in the works after taking a break last year.

While we were parked in New Jersey over the weekend, our car recorded a burglar breaking into a locked door in the parking garage, trying to get into our car, and being scared off by the security system! The car recorded the whole thing.

@WeazyCough@Tesla It's called anecdotal evidence, not a stat. But it does make me question the methodology. Become familiar with "paint marring", then walk through any parking lot or a new car dealership, and you will be horrified at what can go unreported when most aren't paying attention.
@WeazyCough@Tesla When I bought my Tesla, the owners forum had a checklist to go through on delivery. My mom recently bought a GM car and I noticed checklist issues were present on her car, but because she wasn't aware to even look, they went unreported. I can only imagine this continues at scale.
@WeazyCough@Tesla I would be curious if that includes picky cosmetic things with the same weight as actual mechanical things. I would say the average Tesla owner is more picky about cosmetic things because it's commonly talked about, versus the same issues on other cars people don't even notice
@WeazyCough@Tesla By the time the battery wears out, similar cost to replace an engine. I'm at 7 years old and 90% battery health remaining.
About 1% as likely to catch fire compared to a gasoline powered car per 100,000 sales (AutoInsuranceEZ study, 2021).
