Trying to understand why a prominent Tory party member organising contract killings isn’t being given wall to wall coverage. The BBC hasn’t even mentioned it on their site.
I’d you’re shocked at the damage in France to an old town hall you’ll be horrified to hear what’s happened to the beautiful old buildings and heritage of the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans
j’adore le fait que le drapeau de Luffy soit un symbole mondialement connu pour représenter la liberté et le combat contre les systèmes oppressifs, c’est de la pure résistance. j’ai jamais vu le message d’une œuvre être aussi bien transmis <3
This is the biggest left wing movement Europe has seen in decades
And its lead by the students, the young people who will be the future
It warms my heart
FIGHT LIKE HELL
One moment to leave my box then I'll get back in it.
If you're uneducated enough to have an issue with the British government rightly making this statement, lemme put it very simply:
-49,000 slave owners, approx 0.19% of the population at the time, were given money to buy them out of owning slaves. British taxpayers paid to free the slaves.
-For decades during the 19th century, Britain dedicated 1/6th of it's entire Navy specifically to seek and capture other nations' slave ships to free the slaves on board. The economic cost was bore by the taxpayer. 2,000 British sailors lost their lives.
-During the US Civil War, Pres Lincoln blockaded Cotton exports from the USA. This put more than half a million working Britons out of already very poorly paid work. After months, the mill owners worked a deal with the US govt to reopen trading. More than half a million working class Britons voted AGAINST the deal citing that they didn't ever want to work with goods produced from slavery again.
About half as many (24,000 ish) Brits died from malnourishment, disease etc in the affected cotton factory communities as a direct result of that action as ever owned slaves.
-Britain paid £400,000 to Spain to convince it to stop its slave trade. It also placed diplomatic pressure on France to stop them too.
Of every empire that ever took part in slavery, Britain is the ONLY ONE that grew a conscience, stopped its own, and then set out to stop everybody else without any outside encouragement.
And it is also the only one that has maintained a successful and genuinely beneficial diplomatic network to lift up and empower its former territories- the Commonwealth- which has helped ex-colonies outperform their peer nations in almost every way ever since.
Not to mention endless and unwavering humanitarian relief when a hurricane rips through their islands every season, or when an earthquake buries their brothers and sisters under their own houses.
The British taxpayer has bore the cost of all of that. Britons voted in favour of that responsibility in the 19th century, decades before anybody else grew a conscience of their own- even African Kingdoms such as the Asanti Empire who only stopped slaving when Britain took over Ghana and made it illegal.
You reparationsit types don't harass modern-day Turks over the 6-8 million slaves that passed through the Ottoman Slave trade, or modern-day Ghanaians for the millions that the Ghana and Asanti empires captured, abused, and traded in the Trans-Sharan and Transatlantic trades. You don't even get on at the Arab and African countries who still enable slavery today. Why?
There is no other demographic/nation/country for which people feel so empowered to blame the crimes of the most miniscule proportion of its ancestry, which were undone and atoned for by exponentially more of its ancestry, on an entire diaspora that has lived for generations with no direct culpability in said crimes.
Every population in the world has been a victim to another population at a given time. The following paragraph should be the one that sticks from this whole rant:
The working class, poor, destitute British man and woman who rotted in workhouses for centuries had more in common with their African slave counterparts than they ever did their compatriot masters. That's exactly why they bloody well did something about it. British people en masse stood WITH the slaves. Not with their feet on their necks.
Reparationism towards the British nation is just politics of division, meant to absolve commonwealth governments of their own failures towards their people at the expense of a population who have never committed the crime they are demanding reparations for, and whose ancestors paid the human and economic price for for the last 2 centuries.
This is the last post I'll make on the matter.
If you are paid minimum wage and your boss makes you work through an unpaid break then that takes you beneath minimum wage & HMRC would be VERY interested to know about it.
So here’s a modest proposal.
Jason Arday is dead. The circus has lost its main attraction. The tent is still up, the popcorn machine is still warm, and several of the ringmasters are wandering around pretending they were merely checking the fire exits.
Perhaps The Telegraph, The Spectator, Kathleen Stock, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Julie Bindel, Andrew Neil, Brendan O’Neill and the rest of Britain’s newly discovered Society for Relentless Academic Due Diligence could turn their tremendous investigative appetite towards Nathan fucking Cofnas.
You know Nathan.
The self-described race realist whose intervention helped detonate the Arday story.
The bloke who already believed DEI was corrupting academia.
The bloke who has argued that genuine meritocracy would leave vanishingly few Black professors at elite institutions.
The bloke who talks about a “hereditarian revolution”.
The bloke who, while discussing what comes next for his own career, joked that after “the revolution” he might become head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard.
That Nathan Cofnas.
Come on, lads.
You have just spent weeks demonstrating that no biographical pebble is too small to overturn in the sacred pursuit of Truth.
So get the fucking tweezers out.
Go through his history.
Interview the old classmates.
Find the former supervisors.
Call the ex-colleagues.
Dust off the teenage writings.
Read Reptiles with a Conscience from cover to fucking cover.
Check every citation.
Check every footnote.
Find out what he believed before he acquired the qualifications he now uses to defend those beliefs.
Ask when exactly the fascination with hereditarianism began.
Ask what evidence changed his mind.
Ask what evidence could change his mind.
Ask whether race realism emerged reluctantly at the end of an exhausting empirical journey, or whether the destination appeared on the map first and the intellectual road-building project came afterwards.
You wanted to know whether Jason Arday really ran every marathon he claimed.
Excellent.
I would quite like to know whether Nathan Cofnas has actually demonstrated that Black people are genetically less suited to elite intellectual life, or whether he has spent years developing increasingly elaborate reasons for believing something he found compelling in the first place.
Seems at least as fucking interesting as somebody’s 10K split time.
And while we are at it, perhaps ask why the alleged misconduct of one Black academic became so magnificently useful to a man whose existing political project already concerned Black representation, DEI and declining standards.
Was Arday merely a plagiarism case?
Or did Cofnas look at him and see Christmas morning?
Because once you have spent years arguing that progressive universities are artificially elevating Black academics, discovering a celebrated Black Cambridge professor with serious questions hanging over his work must feel less like stumbling across evidence and more like finding a fucking golden ticket inside your ideological Wonka bar.
And apparently that angle is not worth the same excavation?
Really?
Jason Arday tells a tall tale about running and Fleet Street behaves like somebody has discovered the Pentagon Papers.
Nathan Cofnas spends years developing a political programme around hereditarianism and race, then helps frame a national scandal involving a Black professor, and suddenly everyone develops a tremendous respect for intellectual privacy.
How curious.
I am not asking for another pile-on.
I am asking for the same thing you all claimed to worship while Arday was alive:
scrutiny.
Context.
Provenance.
Motivation.
Evidence.
Standards.
Those lovely grown-up words everybody suddenly remembers when they are about to put somebody else under the microscope.

Y’all get what this is, right? Just by touching you with these gloves, cops can literally force your body to involuntarily spasm in a way that looks enough like “resisting arrest” on a bodycam video to justify beating your brains out & shooting you dead consequence-free
Many people don’t know this, but the crossed-arms “X” signal is FIFA’s universal gesture for reporting racist abuse.
When a player, coach, or team official makes that signal, they’re informing the referee that racist abuse has occurred. It is meant to trigger FIFA’s three-step anti-racism protocol: first stop the match, then suspend it if the abuse continues, and ultimately abandon the match if it doesn’t stop.
Today, Egypt manager Hossam Hassan made the “X” gesture from the touchline. Instead of initiating the protocol, the referee booked Hassan with a yellow card and allowed play to continue.
To settle a troublesome discourse, I have provided here the most faithful and poetic possible translation of the beginning of the Odyssey.

Hahahahah! Just seen this on FB:

Have you found yourself in the hideous position of having a Reform councillor?
Here’s how you can help your brand new councillor settle into local government properly: email them this week with an actual council problem to solve.
Got rubbish piling up? Email them.
Bus vanished from existence? Email them.
Streetlights dead? Email them.
Care package delayed? Email them.
Pavement like the Somme? Email them.
Send them in by the hundred. Make sure they’re made very clear on what their job is.
Being a councillor is not standing in front of the Union flag shouting about dinghies on GB News. It’s reading committee papers at midnight, attending meetings nobody enjoys, holding surgeries in church halls, and dealing with the endlessly glamorous world of drains, social care budgets and recycling disputes.
Welcome to local government.
The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward.
The email address for your ward councillor can be found on your local council website as soon as it’s updated.
Feel free to copy and paste to share wider.
Crank remake and Cocaine Bear remake, but the main characters are swapped. Have the bear trying to stop his heartrate dropping while Jason Statham chases people around the woods.
If an investigation reveals that it was Israel who launched the first drone at RAF Akrotiri in a false flag operation, why don’t we press the big red Article 5 button?
Israel has attacked sovereign British territory.
Collective defence, now.
