A painful memory that can never be forgotten from the genocide we are living through in Gaza…

These two birds belonged to my son Imad.
He used to wake up every morning to play with them, feed them, and laugh innocently.
But in a single moment… there was a strike and explosions near us,
and their small hearts stopped from the shock — they died instantly.
Imad cried for them for many days… he couldn’t understand why they were gone.

As for this cat…
she was our cat that we took with us when we were displaced from our home.
She was a friend to my children, Imad and Adam — they played with her every day,
and she lived with us through half the moments of this war.

One day, when the bombing surrounded us and the danger became intense,
we escaped with our lives by a miracle… but she couldn’t survive.
She was injured and died, and we had to leave her behind.

We were deeply saddened by her…
my children cried, and I cried too.

And today, when we remembered her…
we cried again. 💔
