The winner of my May impossible challenge and the $10K in SUI prize is @goNativeCC! 🥳

I asked for a full BTC node on Sui. Had many thoughts around how strict I should be with the word *full*, but… they delivered an early stage SPV light node instead which stole my ❤️ re the potential.
I softly reviewed their code, even left feedback in their github for improving their RIPEMD160 Move smart contract implementation: they fixed stuff in record time, fully responsive, real progress toward native BTC on Sui. Come on Kostas they deserve it, that’s the style of devs you want to see.

Unlike others, I keep my word. Congrats, Native, you deserve it! 🔥

3/4 I asked myself the question WHY. From what I was able to find on the internet is that Satoshi used the standard OpenSSL library at the time, which outputted signatures in this verbose DER format by default.

I'm super proud about the @SuiCommunity, @Sui_Summit for calling out the Babylon propaganda 💪

Let me quote @d3h3d_:
"this is exactly why you should be bullish sui. No bs. It’s Sui."

1. On @SuiNetwork - only the Sui validators provide security. Period 🧑‍🏭
2. In Sui, the only PoS token is $SUI. There is absolutely no need to change that.
3. Sui doesn't depend on BTC nor Babylon delegations. It's the most robust and sophisticated L1 with one of the strongest validator network! 🪨
4. The biggest BS that we need to call out:
Babylon doesn't offer a true security: slashes (post-factum) the BTC delegators, but not the validators 🤯

y’all know i have only good things to say about sui’s strategic choices and direction, but this is so so bad.

let’s start with the basics - there’s a 0% chance this message is technically correct.

if you understand how sui consensus works and how babylon works you know this is 100% false. sui will never be secured by babylon, it will reduce the level of security, make finality time way longer and completely decimate the value of the sui token - probably the three most important things that sui innovated on and spent so much time and effort to redefine the state of the art in and basically lead the market today.

this is probably just a really bad marketing messaging choice by someone at sui, that was pushed by babylon to enhances the babylon scam - no one wants to use babylon, but now retail investors who have no idea how things technically work will think sui is using them.

i hope someone wakes up and realizes how awful this is and delete this tweet.
