@chriswithans same people who voted for Pratt, barely understand how our primary works and don’t understand that 50+% of the city is Democratic, probably didn’t vote on anything that actually mattered in our local elections
@johnholowach it’s such a shame because Becerra is horrible and Hilton will NEVER win against him. The worst of Newsom with zero charisma or personality
@dukenewcum@politicsofamy the people who complain about LA clearly never lived here in the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s
Crime is low, the city is cleaner, there’s no crack, not endless car alarms
The only problem is ZERO development. Which the voters are rejecting do nothing democrats like Karen Bass
@MorganBarrettX Also it’s a bit unfortunate that we have a weak mayor system - our city council is way too divided and the bureaucracy is slow and cumbersome here. Good reason to really push local ppl on city charter reform
@MorganBarrettX I would’ve voted for him had he done that tbh. I despise Karen Bass and I don’t love Raman, but I picked the person who was YIMBY pro development and could probably navigate city politics
@JepthaStor69611@BrianCTabatabai@nithyavraman@UnrigLA She’s a city councilperson. The people who claim “they’ve never heard of her” have absolutely zero connection to local LA politics. I don’t love Raman, but given Bass and Pratt, she’s an easy pick.
@d_haggar it’s only about 25% - and really at the end of the day, they’re just mad at Karen Bass (can’t blame them, the majority dislike her and the city needs a change)
@MikeInacay LA already knows what happens when you elect leaders from TV. Trump brought ICE raids and division. Pratt doesn’t want to unite the city. The majority don’t like Karen Bass, but the voters clearly feel like a change was needed. But not from a borderline MAGA narcissist
@Alleyesonmela1@BoredElonMusk lol, you’re clearly a transplant because you’re unaware of Hancock Park, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, or the bird streets
These people are the ones who buy all of the politicians: Pratt, Raman, and Bass included.
Ramans voter base just skews towards the rich millennials
@LACountyRRCC@WallStreetApes except the attorneys office likes to post misinformation questioning election integrity because the Trump admin are fascists to the core
@_alex_joshua I dropped off my ballot at the last minute and voted for Raman (and so did most of my friends)… anecdotes seem to matter to you I guess, so there’s one.
