The Deficit Exploding: The federal budgetary deficit is projected to nearly double, skyrocketing from $36.3 billion in 2024–25 to an estimated $72 billion for 2025–26.

Stagnant Exports: The volume of Canada’s merchandise exports has completely stalled over the last decade (down 0.4%), while U.S. exports grew by double digits over the same period.
