$\sum_v^n \frac{n!}{v!(n-v)!}$
it's notable that the value of this expression is *at most* $2^n$, that is, when v=0.

@zetalyrae box drawing can't do it, but i bet U+1fba0β1fba3 in "symbols for legacy computing" can get close with the right line spacing.
incidentally, you can easily draw a regular hexagonal/triangular grid in a rectangular lattice basis so long as you allow sqrt(2), sqrt(3) scalars.
