I would like to make a couple of points arguing against @SalmanRushdie's points made in this interview.

Number 1: What is wrong in being a Hindu Nationalist? Why can't a Hindu love his nation? I am a proud Indian Muslim Nationalist, so what do you make of that?

Number 2: As you recorded this interview; the same week, in the state of Kerala, a Hindu Journalist Female News Anchor received a barrage of death threats, because all she did was to castigate the views of Kerala's most powerful Maulana who said women belong in their homes. As of today, a case has been registered, not against the political goons of the Political party cadres of the 'Muslim League' but against the Anchor, who is terrified. Also do brush up on the life and 24/7 security that Nupur Sharma lives in since last few years. So what was that worry again about Indian Secularism being in danger?

Number 3: Jew hating and Hindu hating Mayor of New York, a performative Muslim identity clown, Mr Mamdani, who calls our Prime Minister a War criminal for Hindu-Muslim riots that took place in 2002, shows us through this statement why he can't be even taken seriously by a 2nd grader in India.

Number 4: The Highest Court of Law in India, the Supreme Court did not find the then CM and now PM, Mr Modi guilty of any role in the 2002 Riots(which your clown calls a War). We go by the SC and not your feelings.

Number 5: On your next visit to India, remember the security that the state of India will provide for you, is not to protect you from the Hindu Nationalists, but from those who you are forced to wear those glasses, which has one of your eyes covered with a black tinted frame.

Should Muslims participate in Garba? What does the Devi herself say about it?

Garba, the traditional folk dance from Gujarat, celebrates the feminine divine energy of the goddess Durga during the festival of Navaratri.

However, dirty politics is going on to appease the Muslim vote bank and allow them to attend events that celebrate the Devi.

Are they believers in the Devi? Or are they coming for fun so they can dance with Hindu girls while their own sisters, mothers, and wives are at home in the burqa? If this is not a brazen attempt at love jihad, sex jihad, etc, then what is?

Before giving stupid opinions on television, have the half-brained politicians and their spouses even read about the commandments of the Devi? The politicians of this country are willing to sell themselves for votes, but they are horribly mistaken if they think they can sell out our innocent daughters for appeasement.

In the Devi Gita, the song of the goddess, the Devi clearly states that if a person gives up the dharma of the Vedas and follows some other dharma, the king must exile such followers of adharma from his own dominion.

She further forbids a Brahmin from even conversing with such an adharmic person. She forbids the Dvijas (of all varnas) from sitting and eating next to him. She says this is for all those who have resorted to studying "other texts" of the world (implying all converts out of Vedic Hinduism).

So, do they think such a strict goddess would like non-Hindus to come and dance at her garba? Therefore, the non-believers of Devi should not even come near unless their intention is 'ghar wapasi', and for that, they must contact the nearest Arya Samaj mandir.

Consider this a personal request to ban the entry of every non-Hindu from the garba dances. There is no need to offend the Devi to please jerks.

Kudos to writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi for the courage to tell a story rooted so deeply in our spiritual soil.
I wept several times. The kind of years that come when one encounters something intensely true, good, or beautiful.
Sometimes cinema leaves you quieter, fuller, and closer to yourself.

• That the video has since been withheld in India, while the issue of global injunction remains pending before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court; and

• Order dated 11.08.2026 of the Hon’ble High Court, directing YouTube to act on any re-upload of the same/similar content when the Petitioner brings such links to its notice.

The Criminal process and the Writ process will proceed on their own merits.
