@overtime The key is the ball and foot must meet at the same time before jumping left or right or straight ahead. Then you must land with two feet at the same time. After that, you can pivot on either foot and go to the basket. Pistol Pete was an expert on footwork and this move

@overtime A jump stop does not have to be the conventional straight ahead stop. It can be to the right or left as shown here. It can be 6 inches in the air or the player can jump 2 feet in the air and even shot fake in the air while come to the jump stop.
