Instead of: "Ya Allah, grant me a job."
• Say: "Ya Allah, make me self-sufficient with Your Halal provision, so I am never in need of anyone but You."
• Say: "Ya Allah, grant me Rizq that is expansive, effortless, and a means for Khayr (good)."
I want to be rich. But not Lamborghini
or Rolex rich, I want to be rich enough to go to the gym at 3pm and nobody can tell me no. To tap the family in front of me at the supermarket and say, "It's on me," Rich enough that my future wife never has to worry about getting a job. Rich enough to show my children the world, not pictures of it. Rich enough to take my friends to dinner and say, "| got this", Rich enough that God uses me to help the people who are in need. That's my version of rich.
1/3 Due to the developing situation in Lahore, British Council has agreed with the relevant boards to cancel GCE, IGCSE, IELTS and University of London exams scheduled for today, Thursday 8 May 2025 for the PM session across all Lahore venues.
Tell a British person that it was cold when you woke up, and they will tell you it was even colder when they were up even earlier than you.
“It was chilly waiting for my train at 6am”
“It was even colder on my run at 5am”
“Well it was absolutely freezing when I was walking the dogs around 4.30am”
“Okay but it was baltic when I was feeding the chickens at 3.45am”
“You should have felt it at 2.50am when I was up sweeping the driveway”
I promise you, you're under no obligation to justify your boundaries, explain your "no", prove your worth, make sure people understand you, regulate their emotions, manage their insecurities, do what they expect of you, heal their wounds, and be the version of you in their minds.
