@planetJoseph Brandon Sanderson is very creative with magic/power systems. The Mistborn series, Stormlight Archive series, and a bunch of standalone books* all tie into his greater universe. The connections are really interesting.

@planetJoseph Not defending the church at all, but I think being taught about JS's polygamy was hit or miss. I was taught about it at an institute activity mid-90s but very much framed as "he really didn't want to but God was going to punish him." Of course now I know it was BS.
