I have a friend in a big hospital in Melbourne ATM and while trying to visit I got lost and ended up in an obviously empty ward and a nurse wandered by so I asked her why the whole ward was empty and she said it was partly because they can’t get staff as so many medical personnel are on long-term sick lists and partly because there’ve been so many extra deaths in recent years among older people that hospitals are emptier (since older people make up the bulk of hospital admissions) and I don’t know if anything she said is true but if it IS true we’re silently mass-disabling health workers AND killing off the elderly at the same fucking time and getting away with it because RATS don’t work and people now call #COVID19 “flu” and “gastro” instead of what it really is and NOBODY in the mainstream media is talking about any of this madness then holy freaking fuck we’re a terminally fucked-up country.

People in the UK are catching Covid, not displaying any signs of respiratory infection, and then they're dying within days or weeks.
And because they're not displaying the signs of a respiratory infection, they're not being tested, and covid isn't being attributed as a cause of hospital admission or a cause of death.
But it's covid infections that are killing them.
Covid is more than just a respiratory virus that causes respiratory illness.
This situation is ridiculous.
