hay to all filo k-pop stans out there, i hope you guys are watching the senate and impeachment trials as much as you watch your faves. tignan n’yo kung paano tayo tinatrato ng mga binoboto at iniluluklok natin sa puwesto.
everything is political, kahit sa k-pop. hindi lang ito tungkol sa idols or fanwars. politics affects our education, trabaho, healthcare, rights, at kinabukasan. you can stream your faves and still stay informed at the same time.
and don’t even start with, “eh kung walang concert dito ng faves ko, edi pupunta ako ng ibang bansa.” that’s not even the point. not everyone has the privilege to fly abroad, and people shouldn’t have to leave the country just to access opportunities or experiences. if artists and events keep skipping the philippines, maybe ask why. look at the bigger picture instead of brushing it off.
artists and tour organizers don’t just randomly skip countries. there are many factors they consider—taxes, logistics, venue availability, infrastructure, security, regulations, market conditions, and the overall business environment. government policies can influence those conditions, even if they’re not the only reason. so instead of acting like it’s completely unrelated to politics, maybe look at the bigger picture.
support your idols, but don’t stop paying attention to what’s happening in our country. being a k-pop stan and being politically aware can coexist. hold those in power accountable.
“Judge this case not by politics,
not by popularity, not by fear,
not by loyalty.
Judge this case by the constitution,
judge this case by the evidence.”
- Rep. Gerville Luistro 🔥
Taena. Philippines, now you see why Diokno should have been a Senator.
Iyong intelligence, iyong statemanship, iyong fundamental understanding of what a public office means—in full display with this slice of his appearance before the court.
Kaweirdohan yung may protesta kayo tapos pag tinanong ng press, ang sasabihin ay "walang sasagot!"
That's how we know this is not some "para sa bayan" protest. This is a selfish act, meant to shield certain people from accountability.
Their response says it all: walang sasagot!
When progressives hold rallies, they secure a permit from the LGU. And even with a permit, they still get dispersed and are not extended maximum tolerance.
This one doesn’t have a permit and is orchestrated to paralyze traffic in major thoroughfares, and yet maximum tolerance?
Every Filipino, including the faithfuls of Iglesia Ni Cristo, has the right to protest. But the rest of us also have the right to ask: why would a religious organization stand in defense of someone who has admitted to receiving large sums of money from private individuals while serving as a public official? On his own, and unprovoked, Senator Marcoleta has publicly and personally admitted to it. No faith, whatever the religion may be, should be used to shield corruption or place anyone above accountability and the rule of law.
ANONG BASURA NA EBIDENSYA YAN NA MAY PICTURE?
Puro pasaring. Puro alegasyon. Puro palabas.
At dahil dinamay niyo pa ang pamilya ko, makakatikim kayo ng hindi pasaring, alegasyon, o palabas na kaso sa korte. Pananagutan ninyo ang paninirang ginagawa niyo.
Idk if other Filipinos experienced this as well but i lived through a transition between the pre internet and post internet in the 2010s cause of the smartphone being more common, i remember having to go to an internet cafe just to watch YT cause it was the only way i could do it
Sa ating mga kaibigang Pilipino, nabalitaan ko ang tungkol sa lindol at nais ko pong ipaabot ang aking taos-pusong suporta at panalangin para sa inyong kaligtasan. Ingat po kayong lahat.💙
