@WiganFans_RL Has always benefited the ‘big fish in a small pond’ players - easy for players to stand out and win MoS points in teams that are pretty average. Wigan players suffer from being among other quality players in their team.
@johnnyddavidson I think one more year would have been good to allow more immediate amenities in the area of the ground, but this should be MW’s home now. Seats comfortable, and I love that the noise stays in the bowl!
@AmateurishRL@LondonFaithful A good long-term strategy for getting kids/families down south packing the place out (subsidised ticket and transport bundles) would do wonders for the sport, both on the day visually and to get a new audience into the product.
@AmateurishRL@LondonFaithful I get the arguments for moving it, but kids grow up dreaming of playing and winning at Wembley like their childhood heroes, not the Etihad or Hill Dickinson.
@SteveMascord In this scenario are they expecting the coach to be credited with breaking the news at an open press conference? Seriously? Nobody reporting has exclusive rights to information given in an open setting, even if heard second hand!
@MarkWilsonRadio@TheChallengeCup Wembley makes the Challenge Cup what it is. The north takes over the capital’s stadium for one day a year. Lads grow up dreaming of playing and winning at Wembley like their heroes did.
@rlfansSaddened The ‘placeholder’ statement is 1) expected by everyone, 2) easy to produce, and 3) legally neutral. How hard would it have been? Astonishingly bad approach this, literally the exact wrong thing to put their name to
@casrugbyshirts@AaronBower Hadn’t seen this before, fair play to Rebecca she’s absolutely skewered him here. Mick is a passionate fan (which every sport needs) but his love for Bradford takes him too far too often
@SRDFaithful I think most fans know it could happen to any club at any time - our sport is ran in an opaque way by fragile organisations, with plenty of opportunity for unscrupulous people to involve themselves. Salford today, who tomorrow? We have to stand together as fans.
