25 years ago, Space Shuttle Atlantis was beginning STS‑104, a mission that helped shape the International Space Station as we know it today.
During the flight, astronauts installed the Quest airlock — the first U.S.‑built airlock on the station — opening the door for future spacewalks to be conducted using either U.S. or Russian spacesuits. A quarter‑century later, Quest remains the main gateway for exploration outside the station, having supported hundreds of spacewalks.
Pictured below: Mission specialist Michael L. Gernhardt holds on to the end effector of Atlantis's Canadarm during an extravehicular activity; the Quest airlock is grappled using the space station's Canadarm2 before being installed; view of the International Space Station at the end of Atlantis's stay, showing the Quest airlock near the end of Canadarm2.

This @NASAWebb image shows just a small portion of one of the Orion Molecular Clouds, a massive filament of cold gas and dust beyond the Orion Nebula. Every stage of star formation is contained within this scene, which stretches 150 light-years across!

The plot for ‘SPACEBALLS 2’ has been revealed:
“Somehow, Dark Helmet has returned! 40 years after the events of the first Spaceballs, 50 years after the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, and 1 year after the events of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the galaxy is once again under threat.
A threat so evil, so unstoppable, so completely lacking in any original ideas, that it has vowed to bring back the past… every last bit of it.
With Lone Starr in hiding, Queen Vespa on the throne, and the Schwartz stretched thinner than a franchise releasing TV episodes theatrically, the only hope for the galaxy is Vespa’s undisciplined son, Prince Starburst, and a mysterious Palace advisor named Destiny.
Together, they must find Lone Starr, Yogurt, and any other iconic legacy characters fans are demanding before they discover the hard way that, while some threats you can fight, the reboot is not one of them.”
This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days.
ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
I would be so good at coming up with Lego sets in 1992-2008. Ghost pirate ship. Lunar mining colony. Robot city. But now I have to come up with ideas like “Phoebe Bridgers Cassette Player” or “Home Improvement Garage”
