This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.
Near fully automated front-end dev has now been solved I think. Workflow: existing UI screenshot -> clone with Nano Banana Pro, describing elements you want -> paste to Claude -> get React + CSS for your app. Nano Banana Pro can create pixel perfect designs now.
@levelsio Supervision always required. Will AI ever be trusted to write software for airliners or rockets, without being checked by top level engineers? Probably not. Current computers can never actually 'understand' code like humans, as understanding is non-computational (Roger Penrose)
@levelsio this reminds me of newgrounds . com days. There's gonna be a new version of this where anyone can quickly make and share any type of simple game. Then the games will keep getting more advanced
Option 1, rent a house for $2500/month

People who don't want to learn how to program can always find a reason why not to. This time it's AI, last time it was that tech was over because the Internet Bubble burst, the time before that it was that all the programming jobs were going to be outsourced to India.
