We've all felt the impact of the pandemic but one segment of the population has especially suffered, children and young people. Perhaps it is not surprising then that referrals for mental health services have seen a sharp increase since the beginning of 2020.
Schools have welcomed back students to attend in person. Many find they are struggling with the return to a busy school after weeks and months of social distancing and isolation. Staff at schools have observed a noticeable increase in mental health problems among students.
Inequality in vaccine distribution around the globe still persists. While most affluent countries have offered their citizens a third jab, low and lower middle income countries are struggling to even provide a single dose of the vaccine to their citizens.
When comparing the share of people who received at least one dose of the #COVID-19 #vaccine, South America comes on top with the highest distribution rate.
In stark contrast is the African continent where only 13.3% of the population have received at least one vaccine dose.

After the #COP26 summit ended @YouGov's issue tracker showed that 40% of Britons believed that the environment is a top issue facing the country. This puts it as Briton's 3rd highest ranking concern and within touching distance of 'the economy' (43%) and health (48%). #climate
The World Economic Forum and PwC published calculations that suggest creating an international price for #carbon emissions could reduce greenhouse gases by 12% while costing less than 1% of global GDP. The UK, France and Germany have the highest prices due to strict carbon taxes.
Big countries with large populations like China, the U.S. and India, emit the most #CO2 in total terms. However when it comes to emitting the most CO2 per capita Qatar is one of the worst polluters despite its small population, followed by Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.#cop
