Shoutout to Robin Gillette, Mark Liberko, Liam Borer-Seabloom, and Saad Mankarious for winning 2nd place at MinneMUDAC 2025! MinneMUDAC is a month-long student data challenge where college teams dive into real-world data and present their findings to industry pros.

I had a wonderful and insightful JSM 2024 in Portland. After 10.5 hours of sleep I am recuperated and ready to apply some of the new knowledge and pedagogy!

@MineDogucu I have been ordering many from Posit but found out the printers on my campus can print them. They even happened or have the sticker paper with the glitter/metallic used for dplyr/bayes rules. Maybe check out your campus print services!

Thanks to my fellow chapter officers, attendees, speakers, and everyone supporting at @Iowa_Biostat for making our @asa_iowa ASA Annual Chapter Meeting a success!

For the first time in potentially 7 months, I have 0 unread emails. Is it time to start 5 new projects? Probably not. Do I want to? Always.

@ChelseaParlett My Corgi is named after my coffee drink of choice when using ANOVA - i.e. a Macchiato!

[Tyler George @stats_tgeorge]

I helped organize a 1d conference as part of @asa_iowa. The event was today and had almost 70 participants and we gave out $600 in awards to student poster winners!!! Ty to my fellow eboard members and UI Dept of Biostats for support! Can’t wait for the next one :)

Snowy April afternoon @CornellCollege

[Tyler George @stats_tgeorge]

One of my fav parts of my job is seeing students become more comfortable working with me, peers, and stats/data science material :). It’s a delight to see them grow!

[Digital Liberal Arts @ Cornell College @DLAatCornell]

Dr. Katie Sagal and Dr. Tyler George presented an awesome SIG talk entitled, "Using 21st Century Digital Tools to Assess 18th Century Literature: A Case Study" this morning. Thank you for sharing your work! #DigitalLiberalArts #DigitalHumanities #CornellCollege

According to a student I am “the best professor ever,” but not because I teach well or other things, simply because an exam question used Taylor Swift data haha. I’ll take the win ha

On today's quiz, I ironically misspelled the word "correct" with "corrective." Can I just blanket blame "Monday?"

[Tyler George @stats_tgeorge]

I'm creating an abroad course on the History of Stats in the UK and it keeps getting more interesting! Every meeting makes me more excited! I just talked to the Office of National Stats and they offered to contact amazing potential speakers and to meet the students!

Yesterday I met a guy from Toronto in pub in Edinburgh. He asked where I was from and I said Iowa,US. His response was “well that’s pretty fing cool.” The most positivity I’ve ever heard about the state of Iowa!

@MineDogucu Including other formats for downloads is one of my favorite features too! I like the idea of having teaching materials for a class that not everybody uses R for be available as word/pdf document with no extra work!
