Spotting false prophets is so easy.
Anyone who declares themselves as a prophet or a prophetess they are all lost.
The Imam of the Ambiya, Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, was the last prophet in the chain of the prophets.
@BiblePinpoint@Ihunanya_chi The story teaches that the rich man is taken to hell after burial. I wanted to understand the Christian understanding of life after death. Is the hellfire immediate or after the general resurrection?
@BiblePinpoint@Ihunanya_chi In our tradition, the punishment of hellfire is only after the general resurrection at the end of time. But we are also aware of the torment of the grave, which applies to the unrighteous and deliberate sinners.
@Ihunanya_chi Among the three pillars identified, nothing teaches believing in one God.
I always say any other innovation that takes people away from the worship of the one True God will lead the innovators and the believers of the innovations to hellfire.
According to our Tradition, Allah informed us that the Jews used to kill his messengers. As pious people, including Stephen in the Book of Acts, asked for forgiveness for the transgressor.
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud:
“I see the Prophet ﷺ describing one of the earlier prophets whose people had beaten him until he was bleeding. He was wiping the blood from his face and praying, ‘O Lord, forgive my people for they do not know.’” Sahih al-Bukhari 6929
In this Hadith, Muhammad is seen describing a prophet who was beaten by his people and was wiping blood from his head a detail that reminds us of Jesus, who wore a crown of thorns that caused Him to bleed from His head.
This prophet prayed: “O Lord, forgive my people for they do not know.”
There is only one person in the history of the world who was tortured, beaten, crucified, and still prayed for the forgiveness of His persecutors.
Luke 23:34 – “Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’”
Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Matthew 27:26–31 Jesus is beaten and mocked before His crucifixion.
So, my Muslim friends, if Muhammad was describing a prophet who was beaten and prayed for his people’s forgiveness, who could he have been referring to?
@HatT0r@modban You missed the fact that the antichrist will claim to be God. We all know the sect that will worship him since they believe God became a man already. Audhu billah min dhalik.
When I was a Christian, I used to have visual images of Jesus (AS) and God the Father, just like shown in the quoted image.
It is good to see one Christian who knows that God is not a man and also acknowledges that God is a man!
God does not have a physical form. He is Spirit, and Scripture teaches that no one has seen God in His fullness. So where did this image come from? The write-up was powerful enough on its own.
If you had used an image representing Jesus, that would be a different thing because the Bible says that Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Jesus became human and was seen by people. Through Christ, God made Himself known to humanity in a way we could understand and relate to.
However, portraying God the Father with a specific appearance can be misleading. People may begin to assume that this is what God looks like, and before long, such images could be treated as accurate representations of Him.
We should be careful with these things. Not everything needs a visual representation, especially when Scripture does not give us one. Let us walk with wisdom and caution so that we do not unintentionally create misconceptions about God’s nature.
God cannot be mocked, and we should strive to honor Him according to the truth revealed in His Word.
@abrahamiko3@Ihunanya_chi@aesculapiusw Do not tell me that you do not believe in the resurrection! If you believe in resurrection, does a spirit resurrect? Get your doctrine right.
