Brisbane has nothing to do with Aboriginal culture. The city is named after Sir Thomas Brisbane, governor of the Colony of NSW at the time a convict settlement was established at Moreton Bay.

Modern day Australia was built on the blood, sweat and tears of convicts and pioneer settlers and it will be over my dead body that their sacrifices are erased from history. #auspol
