@MisterAddons I had a 1 Gig Jaz drive for my 8500 Mac back in the day. Saved everything to it, it was great.
Then it died; zero options for recovery (as far as I knew.) Would not recommend (at least for anything important.)
Game Developers: I'm gonna make this machine render beautiful vibrant landscapes 60 times per second.
Web Developers: This newspaper article needs at least 7 seconds to show up and will boil your computer alive if you try to scroll too fast.
@iequalshane IIRC, x86 Macs will be supported until at least 2025 by Apple. But don’t forget, Xcode can produce binaries with both architectures, and the native arch will be chosen on app launch. So target both, it’s a win/win.
@hard4games But we're now living in a world where full games don't see physical releases, companies encourage you to buy digital releases over physical, and you can still buy original Xbox and Xbox 360 games on Microsoft's store.
@hard4games I think for the original Wii, it was "kind of" acceptable because it was mostly WiiWare games and VC games, and by the time it closed a lot of those had been archived.
