It is very stupid that the only Gears of War game I can easily play on Deck is Gears 5. Not even the remake of the first game because it’s UWP. If Microsoft doesn’t have a collection ready before E-Day, that’s a colossal screw up.

Redfall does not run well on the Steam Deck.

I put some time into Redfall over the weekend. It's a conflicting game. I love the map, fall setting and I had a few solid combat encounters. Major performance issues and non-existent ai hold it back. Yet another UE4 game with major stuttering.

Putting it on the shelf for now.

Just played a free game called Missing Hiker. The jump scares got me so good. Works really well on Deck so if you want to be scared, play it in the dark!

Dead Space should be running on the Steam Deck a lot better now! It’s wild how fast Valve gets these Proton fixes out.

A Proton Hotfix update has just been pushed with a fix for the Dead Space map issue. It also addresses a minor performance issue where the game's usage of Variable-Rate Shading was being ignored.
