Ceramic organizes data in Verifiable Event Streams, which get many of the same properties of a blockchain around verifiability, tamper resistance, provenance, etc, but uses eventual consistency to provide way higher throughput

But today's launch of ComposeDB Beta on Ceramic marks a major milestone in that journey, and I'm so excited to have been a part of it!

The thing I've been working on for over a year now is live! ComposeDB on Ceramic makes it easy for developers to build apps that share and reuse each others data. This allows apps to interoperate in entirely new ways, and allows users to bring their data with them between apps.

There's a long way to go to achieve the vision of an open, interconnected, vibrant web with user control front and center, that fosters innovation and experimentation, preserves user privacy, and that breaks the stranglehold that the big tech monopolies have on our daily lives.
