Interesting choice to mock small business owners who are trying to start a restaurant. Here's how it will go, in case you don't know. They will get a broker to look for insurance. The broker will put it out to 20-30 insurance companies. 2, maybe 3 will even bother bidding on it. They will go with the cheapest option, which will still be 400-500% more than the same insurance coverage cost 3 years ago. And the following year when they renew, it might double or triple. And they will choose to pay it or go out of business. That's the situation for restaurants in South Carolina right now.
We are a group of restauranteurs and hoteliers working together in an effort to trigger much needed reform and relief at the Statehouse. PLEASE be responsible and do not drink and drive. 🙏

@dcm1142@fitsnews 6 month license suspension is the death penalty for a restaurant. So this would put restaurants out of business for not having their paperwork in order? Ridiculous. Who even comes up with this kind of stuff? Who read that and said “yeah, perfect let’s add that in.”
@ColaSCWatchDog@FivePointsSC @VistaColumbiaSC Columbia Homeless Task Force meets again tomorrow afternoon. Its a public forum. Feel free to come on down and live tweet.
@ChrisTrainorSC@BristowatHome Must be her first Board. Wanting to kill another board member during a meeting is completely understandable, maybe even expected, but you’re supposed to THINK things like that, not say them out loud.
@ChrisTrainorSC@RegalMovies Went to a @RegalMovies theatre in DC last month with my son to see Sonic the Hedgehog. The popcorn machine was broken. Broken. No popcorn. So I’m supposed to just eat Butterfinger Bites and Sour Patch Kids for two hours like some kind of weirdo? One of the worst days of my life.
We mourn lovely buildings that have been replaced by empty space & sad structures, but we don't have to accept it. If we're thoughtful enough, we can reverse the tide!
The old Galliard Auditorium & the new Gaillard Center in Charleston, on the same site, just a few years apart!
