I collect ‘70s, ‘80s & ‘90s consoles.
I’m terrible at games, good at hoarding, and apparently allergic to modern hardware. I have more money than sense (£3.87), and I mostly potter about in retro gaming with no real talent or plan.
A quite like the Sega 32X, and while this game (Star Wars Arcade) didn't thrill me in the arcades, not as much as Starblade anyway, I still find it fun. 😀
I very much remember loving this game in the early 1990s, despite 2 stone-cold facts.
1. It was bloody expensive. I want to say £1 per go.
2. It was bloody hard.
Hard Drivin' by Atari Games.
Sinclair QL is a weird machine. It's not compatible with the Speccy; it has an 8-bit 68008 CPU (yes, 8-bit), networking built in, and two (count 'em) not hugely popular Microdrives. Looks good though
I’ve got my Atari ST talking over a serial modem link to an AI that’s pretending to be the WOPR system from the 1983 film WarGames.
It thinks it’s sitting inside NORAD, happily offering games of Tic-Tac-Toe… and Global Thermonuclear War.
Fancy Retro Influences do "Trash to Treasure", therefore I'm promoting my own budget version, which is "Trash to likely Landfill". Exhibit A. (wish me luck)
@ReviPCMR Thank you. The case seems 'ok', the keyboard is off colour, but more troublingly, there is a rattle, a heavy one, inside the case. So, we'll see... 😉
@ReviPCMR Interesting. They were pretty uncommon when I was a kid. I think I knew one person with a CPC (and that was the 464) Hopefully, I can make this one go again!
