💡 Did you know?
Every year, around 3,000 schools across England take part in one of our projects.

Well I wasn't expecting those energy levels from @jimroberson1 on our INSET day! Lots of positive messages about finishing strong and hitting the ground running that should help us at the end of this and start of next term. Thank you.
@BarryWhyte85 Had to check if anyone else was thinking the same as me. Managed the first two episodes but no more. Everything about it is so false. Watching it just annoyed me.
@MrsFe77@ClareShillito1 Our y3s are using this next half term too. I've not read it yet but gonna skim it for tier 2 vocab next week. Will send you the doc, unless you've already done it.
📢We are thrilled to be running our OU/UKLA Teachers' Reading Group for the third year! @StWEnglishHub📢

Our third year running a Teacher Reading Group in South Yorkshire. Come and join us to help promote a positive reading culture in your school and discover some fantastic books to share. #readingforpleasure
Whoop! The dates are set for the next South Yorkshire #TRG. Cannot wait to go again. Suspect there may be people joining for the third time - yes it is THAT good - but newbies welcome too! @The_UKLA@TeresaCremin@OpenUni_RfP@StWEnglishHub @jmatschools @RoSIS_1 @learnsheffield
The threshold has got to be lower this year but that doesn't make up for putting everyone through such a painful process. Make the test more age appropriate and then raise the threshold if you must.
The latest teachers strike in England is today. 3 mins on what's happened to teachers' pay since 2012. The average teachers' salary has reduced in real terms - and more so than some other professions. Produced by Michael Cox, Rob England, Robert Cuffe. https://t.co/Kg3nSo3agh
📢Exciting opportunity to join us @StWEnglishHub 📢
As we move into our sixth year of delivering the English hub programme, we are looking to expand our team of Literacy Specialists. Further details of the role and the application can be found here:

I keep thinking that I'm the boy in the story of the Emperor's new clothes. It seems im not alone: We want to point out that quality teaching is more than just implementing what you intend to implement, in the rationally justified sequence agreed.

I'm thrilled to announce that THE CHIME SEEKERS has been shortlisted for the #UKLABookAwards in the 7-10+ category, alongside absolutely stonking company!
I'm planning some letter writing from Stanley trying to make things sound better than they actually are. Any ideas for letters or texts that paint a rosy picture of a grim situation as a model? @MrsFe77@_Reading_Rocks_ @LucyMckerrow
