https://t.co/X75coGQ4UN is a great, FREE game discovery tool.
Steampeek suggests similar games; and by adding and excluding specific tags, you can narrow down the results you're getting back.
It can help you discover true indie gems, you probably weren't even aware of.

@BriliantSkink Thank you! That really feels good :) No, no machine learning models, the algorithm is my own and I'm very happy that you find it useful ;)
@hyveplexel Try searching for a game, then at right side of the search field from the "Exclude tags" dropdown choose the ones you'd like to hide. Is this what you are looking for?
@hyveplexel So if I understand correctly, you'd like to browse all the games except one or more tags? What is the use case for you, what are you looking for? Isn't it a bit too much of a mix including racing, shooter, golf, solitaire, RPG, puzzle, etc.?
Is it just me, or the moment you believe you have made a performance improvement, the thing that pops into your mind is: "ok, and what did it break?" ๐ฌ In other words, I think I've improved the speed of the database queries. Let's see if we can celebrate. ๐ค
@eastshade I feel it so unfair, that I have reached the point to try to create a more indie friendly algorithm both for finding similar games and for tag based search. It definitely needs more polish๐, but I think I'm on the right track with https://t.co/1UUa5pmjtI
Trying to handle sorting games differently by similarity, release date, SteamPeek rating and the new trending.
Should help discover more indie gems. Crossing fingers. @steam_games#indiegames#pcgames#gamedev
If a game's wishlist conversion changes from 50% to 60% is that a 10% increase or a 20% increase? Seems like it depends on who you ask. It is always a good idea to check twice your data before working with it.
Let's try something new: who likes sidebars? Yup, the ones which are usually ad placeholders. What if I'd use it for an overview of the results? We'll see, like here: https://t.co/3qDGIdWamt

Another attempt for a proper tag based indie friendly game recommendation. ๐ It should give you some fine results for both simple and for more complex searches. Example story rich games: https://t.co/hoRh4587Qe

Finally reached step 2 in implementing the improved game recommending algorithm at https://t.co/1UUa5pmjtI - it still needs a bit more speed optimization, but the better indie friendly results are already noticeable.
