I travel for work. From time to time there is delays but normally you get support from customer service. Not for @eurowings ! After delayed flight (notified after passing security) there is no service desk and over phone they simply say “can’t help you”. Poor customer service!!
Javier Florenza, Uppsala University on Single-cell transcriptomics reveals functional insights into a non-model aquatic phytoflagellate and its metabolically linked bacterial community

This one is special!! The first preprint from my PostDoc era😊
We show the importance of metabolic cross-feeding in eco-evolutionary dynamics of deep groundwater microbes.

Here's a current run after ~16h of some of one the samples @Stebe69. It's going to be a fantastic dataset. Looking forward to working with you on it once it's all sequenced and assembled!
I am all smiles after 2 beautiful days of "Big Data in Microbial Ecology"! 😊 Thanks to all the amazing speakers and participants for making this a great experience! It was a great pleasure for me to organize this! Thank you @MicrobialSweden and Caroline for facilitating!
Amazing start to the 2023 AMRI day and "Big Data in Microbial Ecology" symposium!
Check out our amazing list of talks and speakers 🤩

Learn more about good practices for data analysis and management, how to organize bioinformatic projects, use Git to track and collaborate, and more in this @NBISwe course on Tools for reproducible research. Deadline to apply: Friday 20 Oct!
Organizing a mini symposium here in Uppsala dealing with microeukaryote diversity and ecology. First up Alex Worden talking about marine protists and their interactions (and biogeochemical implications of that. @MicrobialSweden@scilifelab#planetarybiology
Scientists from #CpgSthlm & @FriedlanderLab have for the first time recovered RNA from an extinct species! From ∼130 yr old dry tissue!
A game-changer for studies on gene expression in extinct species & RNA virus evolution (SARS, ebola, influensa, etc)?
