There is a reason why Political Correctness came in considering the way the world was like before Civil Rights movements, it's not perfect but going backwards will not help society.

You had a former president helping to rebuild his re-election campaign for 4 years by telling the electorate he was robbed, cheated & persecuted. The assassination attempt reinforced his victim status & election win.
