Meta just built the road. We've spent months building
what runs on it.

Today's Meta Business Agent Platform is exactly the
infrastructure layer we've been waiting for.

For the last year we've built the AI agent for FMCG fragmented
trade. Thousands of outlets onboarded in weeks. Every interaction in Viber/WhatsApp.

Meta owns the conversational rails. Vertical players own
the depth: the brand-voice guardrails, the distributor
routing, the judgment to know when an outlet is asking
about a return vs a new product launch.

The 50M outlets in fragmented trade finally have their
channel. Not a sales channel, a relationship channel.
The first time the outlet has felt like a customer rather
than a transaction.

$400 billion gets spent every year on field sales reps in F&B.

8 million reps. 20 visits a day. Same catalog pushed to every outlet regardless of fit. And 90% of outlets never get visited at all.

The conventional response is to optimize routes. Or digitize the rep visit. Or layer "perfect store" tooling on top.

None of it changes the curve.

Because the constraint isn't effort. It's human throughput.

Until distribution can scale beyond what one human can do in a day, the long tail stays dark.

What Role Does Not Exist Today But Will Be So Common in Five Years Time:

"500K-1M jobs will be created for agent operators.

This person will be somewhat technical. They will be deep in the AI world.

They're gonna have to understand MCPs and CLIs and they are going to have to know how to write skills.

It's going be this group of people that will know how to go into your marketing team or your legal team, or your operations team, or your life sciences research team and this is the person that is basically going to enable that function to get leverage from agents." @levie
