Along with 1,000 musicians, today we're releasing an (almost) silent album protesting the UK government's plan to upend copyright law to benefit AI companies.
It's an album of recordings of empty studios & performance spaces, representing the effect the govt's plans would have on musicians' livelihoods.
It's called 'Is This What We Want?', and the track list spells out a simple message: "The British Government Must Not Legalise Music Theft To Benefit AI Companies".
Incredibly grateful to the many, many musicians involved 🙌
All profits are going to @HelpMusicians.
Please listen & share!

@art_is_found Same thing happened to me! Unpaid toll from our 2012 honeymoon. It took 7 YEARS to arrive. I paid it, came from some Italian collections agency that made it sound serious.
@PatrickQJackson Not sure where else to share this. Spotted these 3 orbs in my backyard a year ago. Let me know if there’s a good place to send hi def.
@WeAreOliver Yes. Tried uninstalling/re-installing Chrome and resetting UAD hardware. No luck. People on forums saying they had success downgrading Chrome to previous version but that seems unsafe and annoying to figure out.
Last June, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins sat down at his L.A. home for his last in-person Rolling Stone interview.
He talked about stage fright, almost quitting the band, his "older brother" Dave Grohl, and more.
