I thought it would be bad.

I had no idea it was THIS bad.

No wonder Gaza killed what little credibility mianstream media had.

In NYT, Israel's right to defend itself was invoked 99 times. Only once for Palestine.

On CNN and MSNBC, it was invoked 755 times for Israel. But only 8 times for Palestine.

Emotive words such as slaughter and massacre were used frequently when Israelis had been killed. They were NEVER used in print when Palestinians were killed.

In Ukraine, 262 children were killed in the war, and it was mentioned 4223 times.

In Palestine, more than 10,000 children were killed, but it was mentioned only 3632.

President Isaac Herzog is considered one of the more 'leftwing' political figures in Israel. Here he is rewriting international law by engaging in openly genocidal rhetoric against the Palestinians in Gaza:

'It's an entire nation out there that is responsible. It's not true this rhetoric about civilians were not aware, not involved. It's absolutely not true.'

This should be no surprise. Zionism's logic of Jewish supremacism always left its proponents with a limited set of choices towards the Palestinians: either a mixed model of ethnic cleansing and apartheid, or a mixed model of ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Gaza *was* the ethnic cleansing-apartheid option: the Palestinians were herded into an open-air prison and stripped of their rights. Like the Bantustans of apartheid South Africa.

Now that Israelis see the ethnic cleansing-apartheid model has failed them – it hasn't given them 'quiet', as they call it – they are recalibrating towards genocide.

Which is why the dial is moving so fast. The only relevant question is whether the Western powers will allow, or even aid, Israel in carrying out genocidal policies. So far, the omens aren't looking good.

Vic Alhadeff OAM is a former Chair of Multicultural NSW AND the former CEO of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies in Sydney.
The other Jewish board member is Christine Zeitz, who is also on the board of defence company Nova Systems, whose business partner is Elbit Systems out of Israel.
