US Secondary Sanctions on Iran Oil Coming Soon, Gunvor Exec Says

(Bloomberg) -- The US may impose secondary and tertiary sanctions related to Iran’s oil trade “in the coming months,” said Gunvor’s head of research for Asia Pacific, Sri Paravaikkarasu.

“From my understanding, the US has come up with a full list of Chinese refiners, port operators and various other firms who are involved in the supply chain of Iranian trade, and they will be placing more sanctions on them,” she said at a Vortexa event in Singapore on Tuesday

“Trump will be very harsh on Iran” even as he expresses an interest in direct talks with Tehran, but Iran insisting on talks through an intermediary, she said
