Players: You are on the team, which means you are a part of something much bigger than yourself. At times, you will be on the bench. You have 2 options when you are sitting on the bench: you can either sit & wait your turn or you can be active & engaged in helping your TEAM win!
When a teacher says they want to do better so their students will do better, that is one of the BEST things to hear as a principal. You know they are in the right profession. #teach#reflect#grow
In a great classroom, the students aren’t the only learners. The TEACHER is a learner also. When teachers are curious, when they are vulnerable, when they continue to grow… they provide stronger instruction, and they provide a great example to their students.
Players: Don’t let anyone else determine the direction of your life. No one else decides who or what you’re going to become. Choose your own path & follow it. There’ll always be adversity, new directions along the way & new choices to make, but they’ll always be your choices.
One way to think about "mental toughness" is that it's the ability to not let anything ruin your moment - whether it's other people, what just happened, what might happen, or the situation and conditions. Own your mind to own your life.

Be your own 🐐
Winning is a habit. Watch your thoughts, they become your beliefs. Watch your beliefs, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. – Vince Lombardi
You might have brilliant lessons... but are you patient with students who need it explained a 2nd or 3rd time?
You might utilize all the latest technology... but do you work with the student who seems to have an attitude?
I think these answers matter.
