@itskyleconner Adapter adds electrical resistance which increases heat rise. Adapter is not liquid cooled, like charging cable , so ability shed heat is poorer (convection only). Finally please stop with the wet rag! You’re tricking a temp sensor that is there for safety & reliability.

@itskyleconner That temp sensor is there to protect the cable, connector, and your hand. Overriding it puts thermal stress on the cable and connector which depending on design criteria could reduce their life.
